Rehearsed and recorded remotely, Hanford High School Drama Students are pleased to present two (virtual) productions this fall.

She Kills Monsters is a drama-comedy telling the story of Agnes Evans, an ordinary high school senior who, one year following her sister Tilly’s death, finds her sister’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, stumbling into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure. Adapted specifically for the virtual realm, this heartwarming and hilarious story pays homage to the geek and warrior within us all. Content is best suited for audiences high-school age and up.

A stream of the production will be presented at 7:30pm on December 11th and 12th and at 2:00pm on December 13th.

First performed in Greece 2500 years ago, the events Oedipus Rex unfold as a plague grips the city of Thebes. In seeking to save his city, Oedipus is confronted with the truth of his past and its lingering repercussions. In one hero’s tragic demise, this contemporary translation invites reflection on truth, existence, purpose, mortality, and self-knowledge.

Oedipus Rex will be available for viewing January 15-17th. “Tickets” will be made available for purchase at hanforddrama.org. Each $5 ticket purchase will provide a secure passcode to enable one viewing of the production within the 72-hour window.
