Matt Leggett, Hanford High School Drama Director, has been named a recipient of the “Service Above Self” award from the Washington State Thespians. This award honors those who have made a significant contribution to the theatre arts in the state of Washington.
“We thank Matt for his exemplary support of school theatre and thespians in our state,” stated Leslie Van Leishout, Co-Chapter Director of the Washington State Thespians.
“Matt’s high school plays are not only well done, but include large numbers of the HHS student body,” noted Principal Ken Gosney. “He does an excellent job teaching his students all facets of theater production and they produce outstanding shows every year.”
Leggett will receive the award this Friday in Seattle.
